Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Anton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Anton is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Anton! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anton fails with a takedown attempt. Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Joe Anton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Anton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Anton didn't expect that. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Jones content to stall in guard here. Jones trying to control but Anton is working from the bottom. Jones slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
We're going to have a standup here because Jon Jones wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Anton sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jones is keen to just control but Anton is a slippery customer. Jones uses his free foot to push down on Anton's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Anton. Jones is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Anton has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Anton! Jones is trying to control the position but Anton postures up. Anton missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jones manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Anton because Jones loaded up on that one. Jones trying to control but Anton is having none of it. Jones avoids the attempt from Anton to control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones throwing strikes here but Anton is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Anton is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jones tries to control but Anton wriggling away. Jones thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to control but Anton wriggling away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anton gets back to half guard. Anton is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Anton avoid being mounted?
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jon Jones just wasn't active enough. Anton jabs at Jones's body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Anton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes. Jon Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Anton. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anton swats him away and circles back towards the center. Anton fails to land the takedown. Anton throws a big shot that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Anton lands with a shot to the body. Anton lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Jon Jones has been cut. Anton tries to clinch but Jones moves away and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Anton didn't expect that. Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Anton wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Jones is now in half guard. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anton keeps working. Anton trying to control but Jones postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anton regains full guard. Nicely done. Jones wants to pass the guard but Anton is keeping the position. Jones is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jon Jones wasn't doing enough on the ground. Anton cracks a nice hook into Jones's ribs. Anton swinging wildly here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jones counters with a takedown into side control. Jones remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones working away. Jones in side control, throwing shots but Anton defends. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones decides to stand up, so the ref orders Anton to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Anton tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Anton tries to sprawl but Jones drives through with a takedown into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anton keeps working. Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Anton wants to get back to full guard but Jones has mounted him! Jones trying to control but Anton is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anton is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Jones has taken his back! Jones has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Jones dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jon Jones's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Anton lands a jab-cross combination. Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Anton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Anton paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. No joy there for Anton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Anton manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Anton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Anton throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to control from the top but Anton keeps moving. Anton working a defensive guard but Jones passes into half guard.

Jones is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Anton reverses the position - he's now on top in Jones's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anton forces his way into half guard. Anton is keen to just control but Jones is a slippery customer. Jones kicks off Anton and gets to his feet. Jones takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Jon Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Anton tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Jones takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Anton misses with a few strikes there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Anton quickly recovers to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Anton is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Anton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Anton is trying to maintain the position but Jones is very close to passing his half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Anton lands with a hook. Jones tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Anton tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Anton fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away. Jones throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Anton tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jones is in Anton's guard. Anton avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Anton is working an open guard so Jones takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anton swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jones. Anton misses with a takedown attempt and Jones counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Anton! This has been an exciting period of action! Jones sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Anton is just holding on here. Jones manages to take his back.
Jones working for the choke. Joe Anton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jon Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Anton covering up well under a series of strikes from Jones.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jon Jones. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
