Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pauli Sankari! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carwin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sankari. Carwin lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Pauli Sankari has been cut. Carwin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Carwin lands a two punch combo.
Carwin loads up on a big right hand but Sankari slips the punch. Carwin throws a right and a left that Sankari avoids nicely. Carwin fails to land with a series of punches.
Carwin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Carwin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Sankari keeps the fight on the outside. Nice defenses there by Sankari. Carwin takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Carwin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sankari. Carwin is looking to clinch. Sankari closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Sankari seems to be working for a kimura but Carwin defends the submission attempt. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Carwin throws a shot from downtown. Sankari moves away and avoids it. Brock Carwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sankari tries to land a leg kick but Carwin saw it coming and moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Carwin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sankari on the side of the head. Carwin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Carwin misses with a two punch combination.

No joy there for Carwin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carwin lands a jab to the nose. Carwin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Carwin scores with a one two! Sankari had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Sankari shoots for a double leg takedown but Carwin sprawls well. He's pushed Sankari's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sankari tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sankari lands a head kick. Carwin smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Carwin misses with a wild combination.
A jab lands there for Carwin. Carwin checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Carwin clobbers Sankari with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Sankari is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Nice body kick from Sankari. Sankari looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carwin is fending him off so far but Sankari persists. Nope, Carwin circles away and we're back to standing. Good work by Sankari as he checks the leg kick. Carwin clinches but Sankari breaks the clinch and Sankari counters with a nice low kick that buckles Carwin's knee momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sankari takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sankari is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Carwin is just riding it out for now. Sankari eventually gives up the hold. Sankari is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Carwin has managed to free his arm - good work. Carwin tries to get to full guard but Sankari has control of the leg. Sankari is keen to just control but Carwin is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sankari is looking for a kimura but Carwin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sankari to get the leverage. Carwin flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Sankari passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Carwin! Sankari is working for a guillotine from mount but Carwin frees his head quite easily.
Carwin wants to control but Sankari is having none of it. Carwin regains half guard. Sankari wants to work for an arm triangle but Carwin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sankari passes to full mount! Sankari with the ground and pound from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sankari moves to back control. Carwin looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Carwin preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Sankari. Sankari doesn't have the hooks in and Carwin manages to turn into his guard.

Sankari slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Sankari bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carwin's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sankari sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Carwin's guard. Carwin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sankari works his foot free and advances to mount. Carwin really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Pauli Sankari has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sankari working for a guillotine from mount but Carwin is in no mood to give up. Sankari takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Sankari is looking to control Carwin but Carwin is wriggling around and keeping busy. Carwin has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Carwin trying to control the hands but Sankari won't let him.
And that's the end of the fight! Pauli Sankari comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Carwin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
