Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eddy Valentino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus De La Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De La Cruz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. http://youtu.be/lTiAdy--FOQ kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! De La Cruz has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Marcus De La Cruz acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddy Valentino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus De La Cruz! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valentino closes the distance and pushes De La Cruz back into the cage. De La Cruz looks winded! Valentino manages to break the clinch.
Valentino looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? De La Cruz is fending him off so far but Valentino persists. Nope, De La Cruz circles away and we're back to standing. Valentino throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around De La Cruz's waist but De La Cruz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Valentino off to one side. Valentino shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with De La Cruz but De La Cruz pushes him off and we're back to square one. De La Cruz leaves Valentino with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Valentino closes the distance and clinches up with De La Cruz, looking for a takedown. Valentino pushes De La Cruz against the cage but De La Cruz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Valentino misses with a head kick.

Valentino then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. De La Cruz slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Valentino looks to land a combination. De La Cruz sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. De La Cruz missing with a left hand there. Valentino was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Valentino forces De La Cruz back against the cage and clinches. Valentino just leaning against De La Cruz, taking a breather. Valentino tries to land a knee to the head but De La Cruz blocks with his arms.

Marcus De La Cruz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Eddy Valentino is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Valentino accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
