Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vammie Weruke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee comes into the arena with Bully from Shinedown blaring out of the sound system. Weruke has chosen Waking the Demon - Bullet For My Valentine as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brock Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vammie Weruke! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weruke throws an off balance right hand
so Lee counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Lee postures up in Weruke's guard and throws a big left but Weruke blocks it. Weruke utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lee looking to sit in guard and control but Weruke gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Weruke trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Weruke manages to get himself to full guard.
Weruke is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Lee throws a big right hand that misses. Weruke working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lee. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Weruke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Weruke is controlling Lee's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Weruke preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Weruke avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lee loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Weruke keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully. Lee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Weruke defends it easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lee pushes a forearm under Weruke's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Weruke is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
