Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Barney Stinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Black Belt!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Belt.
Belt ducks right into an uppercut from Stinson.
Belt shoots in for a takedown but Stinson shows good takedown defense.
Stinson fails to land the takedown.

Belt drives through with a takedown into Stinson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Stinson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Stinson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Belt is one step ahead there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Belt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stinson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Belt got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stinson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Belt has managed to get both his arms back between Stinson's legs - danger averted.
Stinson pulls Belt in close to prevent any damage.

Belt controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Stinson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Belt is aware though and is defending well.

Stinson wants to sweep here but Belt controlling him for the moment.

Stinson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Black Belt.
Belt dives in and grabs Stinson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stinson pushes down on Belt's head and hops out.
Belt gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Belt staying out of range there.
Stinson scores with a jab.
Good exchange - Stinson coming out on top.

Stinson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Belt defends it easily.

and Belt counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stinson won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Black Belt will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Belt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stinson but Stinson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Stinson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Belt looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Stinson!

Stinson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Stinson wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Belt is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Stinson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Belt doesn't have the hooks in and Stinson manages to turn into his guard.

Belt keeping moving, preventing Stinson from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Belt looking for a guillotine here but Stinson defends easily.
Belt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Black Belt has got the better of the ground game so far.

Stinson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Belt shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stinson as he avoids it easily.
Barney Stinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Black Belt.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Belt gets caught flat footed, as Stinson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Belt is breathing heavily.
Stinson trying to control the position from guard on top but Belt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Belt controls Stinson momentarily but Stinson frees himself.

Stinson drops back looking for a leg! Belt is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Belt manages to kick Stinson off! Stinson jumps back into Belt's guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Stinson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Belt sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Stinson throws a jab but it's blocked by Belt.
Belt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Belt closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Stinson is looking to control Belt's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stinson avoid being mounted?

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well, if Belt is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
