Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
23 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Ledil Kuch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rand al Thor!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuch throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
al Thor throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kuch ducks under a wild hook from al Thor.
al Thor pulls out of a head kick attempt.
al Thor throws a leg kick that misses.
Kuch throws a right and a left that al Thor avoids nicely.
A nice combination there by Kuch.
It looks like Rand al Thor has been cut.
Kuch gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows al Thor to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kuch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
al Thor throws an elbow that misses. Kuch uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in al Thor's guard. Nice move by Kuch!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kuch is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst al Thor is controlling him.

Kuch wants to get back to his feet but al Thor is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kuch scrambles and gets back to his feet.
al Thor on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kuch looks to score with a jab to the body but al Thor is just out of range.

Kuch throws a nice outside leg kick.
al Thor throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kuch. al Thor does a little dance to reset his feet.

and al Thor counters with a solid body kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Ledil Kuch has been cut.

and al Thor counters with a thumping low kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kuch is breathing heavily.
Kuch darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
al Thor uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kuch.
al Thor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rand al Thor dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
al Thor throws a sloppy head kick and Kuch moves out of range easily.
al Thor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kuch shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. al Thor eats them both and turns towards Kuch to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Kuch throws a leg kick but al Thor sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kuch is looking to land body kicks.
al Thor uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kuch.
al Thor just misses with a punch to the body.
Kuch fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kuch ducks down and throws a hook to the body but al Thor moves away.
Kuch scores with the left hand. al Thor knows he should have avoided that one.

Kuch takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and al Thor counters with a nice leg kick.
al Thor throws a leg kick but Kuch moved away.
Rand al Thor seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kuch fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt al Thor.
al Thor avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
al Thor lands a really nice looking cross but Kuch seems unphased.

Some bone on bone action there as al Thor checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kuch scores with a three punch combo!
Sloppy strikes from Kuch. Those never looked like landing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kuch misses with a telegraphed body shot
and al Thor counters with a head kick that drops Kuch - he's looking to finish, following his stunned foe to the ground!

al Thor not landing any meaningful shots this time.
al Thor scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
al Thor lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Kuch quite badly. Kuch pulls al Thor in close trying to recover. al Thor postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Kuch on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Kuch doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rand al Thor!
After winning the bout, Rand al Thor thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
