Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Haas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jon Jones could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Matt Haas's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Haas scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jones regains half guard.
Haas is stalling here. Jones is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Haas seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jones has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Jones controls the position.
Jones lands a few punches from side control.
Haas tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position.
The referee asks Jones politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jones prefers to stall for the moment though.
Haas manages to get back to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Haas is trying to stand.

Jones prevents Haas from improving his position.

Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Jones prevents Haas from standing back up.
Haas is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Haas fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.
Haas looks winded!

Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.

Jones moves into the clinch.
Haas on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Haas has had enough of the clinch but Jones keeps him there for the moment.
Jones throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Haas blocks it with crossed arms.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Jones.

Jones drags the fight down to the ground.
Jones is pulling down on Haas's head to control his posture.

Jones uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Haas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Haas looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.
Haas fails with a takedown attempt.
Jon Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Haas.

and Jones counters with a head kick that drops Haas - he's looking to finish, following his stunned foe to the ground!

Jones lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Haas quite badly. Haas pulls Jones in close trying to recover. Jones postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Haas on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Haas doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
