Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Listen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carter might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hurricane. Rubin Carter has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick from Carter.
Carter moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Jared Listen has been cut.
Rubin Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter throws a sloppy body shot
and Listen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Carter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carter takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Carter falls off balance throwing a combination
and Listen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Carter throws a big shot that misses.
Carter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Carter wants to clinch.
Carter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Carter misses with a body kick.
Listen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Carter lands a head kick. Listen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Listen misses with a wild body shot.
Listen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fighters circle momentarily. Carter darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Carter wants to clinch.
Carter works the jab nicely.

Carter scores with a jab.
Listen defending well as Carter loads up on a big left hand.
Listen steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Carter. That one must have hurt.
Carter pushes Listen away with a front kick.
Carter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Listen.
Carter lands with a cross.
Carter attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Carter misses with a double jab
and Listen counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Carter swings for the body but Listen moves out of range.
Carter bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Listen's head.
Carter takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Carter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Listen.
Carter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A bone on bone clash there as Listen blocks the leg kick.

and Listen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Carter scores with a nice head shot.

That has opened up Jared Listen's cut even more.
Carter lands with a slapping head kick.

Listen is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Carter finds Listen's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Listen flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Carter lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Listen will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rubin Carter!
Post fight, an emotional Rubin Carter said 'There is no one in this division who can beat me. Did i get your attention? Weerka Easterlund? Please, Fish..Yeah right, Torrez you wish, Murphey...id kill you. Rambo..Rolls Eyes, Listen pfft......NO ONE CAN BEAT ME '.
