Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Ninjaman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Crow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Steve Ninjaman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Justin Crow! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ninjaman tries for a takedown but Crow sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Crow gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Ninjaman breaks the clinch.
A combination from Crow does no damage. Ninjaman dives in and grabs Crow's left leg, looking for a takedown. Crow pushes down on Ninjaman's head and hops out. Ninjaman misses with a takedown attempt and Crow counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Ninjaman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ninjaman is looking to get back to his feet here but Crow is keeping cool and he's managed to take Ninjaman's back. Crow working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Crow has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Crow tightening his grip on Ninjaman, looking for the choke. Ninjaman looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crow biding his time, controlling Ninjaman. Ninjaman controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Crow connects with a big shot to the side of Ninjaman's head.
Ninjaman is trying to stand back up. Ninjaman is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crow looking to break Ninjaman's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Ninjaman remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Crow will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! A lull in the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ninjaman is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Ninjaman is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Crow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crow is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ninjaman defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Ninjaman is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Crow off. It looks like it's working - Crow slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Ninjaman displaying calm under pressure there. Steve Ninjaman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ninjaman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Crow pinned against the cage. Crow gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Crow tries to clinch up. Crow pushes Ninjaman up against the cage in a clinch. Crow is trying to pull guard but Ninjaman turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Ninjaman manages to break the clinch.
Ninjaman has his takedown stuffed and Crow moves into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crow has hold of one of Ninjaman's legs. Ninjaman is fighting the takedown attempt but Crow gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Crow trying to control the position from guard on top but Ninjaman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Crow has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ninjaman is proving hard to escape from. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ninjaman wants to stand but Crow is controlling the position. Ninjaman uses the cage to get back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ninjaman. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Crow looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Ninjaman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ninjaman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Crow counters with a single leg into guard. Ninjaman didn't expect that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Justin Crow dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ninjaman fails with a takedown attempt. Ninjaman walks into a jab. Nice takedown defense from Crow. No joy for Ninjaman on that attempt. Crow scores a takedown into full mount! Crow scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Crow trying to control but he's not successful this time. Ninjaman has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Crow biding his time, controlling Ninjaman. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Crow is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Ninjaman is tapping out! This one is all over!
