Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Ninjaman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Crow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ninjaman tries for a takedown but Crow sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Crow gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Ninjaman breaks the clinch.
A combination from Crow does no damage.
Ninjaman dives in and grabs Crow's left leg, looking for a takedown. Crow pushes down on Ninjaman's head and hops out.

and Crow counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Ninjaman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ninjaman is looking to get back to his feet here but Crow is keeping cool and he's managed to take Ninjaman's back.

Crow looking to break Ninjaman's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Ninjaman remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Crow will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ninjaman is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Ninjaman is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Crow.

Crow is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ninjaman defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Ninjaman is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Crow off. It looks like it's working - Crow slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Ninjaman displaying calm under pressure there.
Steve Ninjaman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ninjaman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Crow pinned against the cage. Crow gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Crow is trying to pull guard but Ninjaman turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Ninjaman manages to break the clinch.
Ninjaman has his takedown stuffed
and Crow moves into the clinch.

Crow has hold of one of Ninjaman's legs. Ninjaman is fighting the takedown attempt but Crow gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Crow has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ninjaman is proving hard to escape from.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ninjaman.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Crow counters with a single leg into guard. Ninjaman didn't expect that.
