Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Massa Mamumba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Axe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Massa Mamumba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mamumba shoots in looking for a takedown but Axe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mamumba's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Axe throws a push kick but Mamumba slaps the foot to one side.
Axe stalks Mamumba and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mamumba's face. Mamumba staggers backwards, shaken.
Axe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mamumba. That did some damage!
Mamumba tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Axe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Axe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Axe is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mamumba is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mamumba controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

and Axe counters with a big head kick but Mamumba shrugs it off.

and Axe counters with a body kick that stops Mamumba in his tracks momentarily.

Axe tries to close the distance and clinch but Mamumba swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mamumba takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Axe defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mamumba.

Axe scores with a hook to the body. Mamumba takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Axe, as that shot connected.

Mamumba gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Axe.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mamumba shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Axe sprawls well. Axe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mamumba gets slowly back to his feet.

Axe fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mamumba has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Axe clobbers Mamumba with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Axe keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mamumba's efforts to push away.

Mamumba jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Axe walks away with a smile on his face. Mamumba gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Tyson Axe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Axe smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Axe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Axe wants it to stay on the feet.
Axe closes the distance and pushes Mamumba back into the cage.
Mamumba has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Axe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Mamumba jumps guard but Axe stands there with Mamumba around his waist. Mamumba gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Axe lands with a kick to the temple. Mamumba shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

and Axe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Axe looks to land a combination but Mamumba avoids it well.
