Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Calvancante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Mercury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pete Mercury will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercury scores with a nice strike.
Mercury defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Calvancante.
Mercury stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mercury wants it to stay on the feet.
Calvancante fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
