0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chuck Rudolph! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez shoots in for a double leg but Rudolph sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Rudolph has closed the distance and engaged Sanchez in a clinch.
Rudolph scores with a hook to the body. Rudolph with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Sanchez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rudolph is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Rudolph pulls guard effortlessly. Sanchez trying to move into half guard but instead Rudolph has managed to sweep! Rudolph scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Rudolph stopping the sweep attempt from Sanchez. Rudolph is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Rudolph must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sanchez looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rudolph trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanchez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rudolph really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sanchez looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sanchez is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Rudolph is defending well. Sanchez quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Rudolph has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Sanchez celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
