The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stick looks to throw the jab but Pacweather Jr is out of range.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Stick has eaten all the pies!
Stick throws a hook but Pacweather Jr blocks it.
Stick stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stick wants it to stay on the feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Stick misses the target.
Pacweather Jr tries for a takedown but Stick sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Stick wants to get back to his feet but Pacweather Jr passes into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pacweather Jr has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pacweather Jr seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stick for as long as he can get away with.
Stick is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Pacweather Jr has taken his back!
Pacweather Jr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
