Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Job McKnight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ben Henderson!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
McKnight closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Henderson's guard.
McKnight gets to his feet - Henderson follows without any prompting.
McKnight fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Henderson, pushing him back against the cage.
McKnight breaks the clinch.
Henderson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McKnight circles away quickly and effectively.
Henderson looks to land a combination but McKnight avoids it well.
McKnight feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McKnight trying to control the position from guard on top but Henderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Henderson has an active guard here but McKnight has managed to pass into half guard.
McKnight is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Henderson defends it well.

McKnight decides to stand and escape the position.
Henderson throws a series of punches but McKnight moves out of range.
A jab from Henderson finds it's way through McKnight's defenses.
McKnight looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
McKnight is nestled in close to Henderson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
McKnight perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
McKnight is keen to just control but Henderson is a slippery customer.
McKnight looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
McKnight drops an elbow to the side of Henderson's head.
McKnight is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Henderson looks winded!
This has been an exciting period of action!
McKnight trying to control but Henderson is having none of it.
McKnight is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Henderson is surviving well by controlling McKnight's body position as best he can.

McKnight lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

McKnight looking to control but Henderson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

McKnight wants to control the pace but Henderson is squirming around nicely.
Henderson is trying to escape the mount.
McKnight looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

BOOM! McKnight connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Henderson is still in real trouble! Can McKnight finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McKnight controlling from the full mount.
McKnight postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Henderson in real trouble here! The ref calls for Henderson to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Job McKnight!
