The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Folkeson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Suryanto.
Suryanto gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Folkeson counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Bambang Suryanto has been cut.
Suryanto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Folkeson pinned against the cage. Folkeson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice straight punches there by Folkeson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Folkeson.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Folkeson dances in with a quick combination. Suryanto is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Folkeson snaps Suryanto's head back. Suryanto stumbles backwards against the cage. Folkeson steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Suryanto's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Suryanto just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sune Folkeson!
Sune Folkeson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
