Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Redge Coldon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seamus OConnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seamus OConnell will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Redge Coldon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Seamus OConnell! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! OConnell clobbers Coldon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. OConnell throws a head kick but Coldon moves out of range.
OConnell lands a right hook to the body.
OConnell feints a jab promting Coldon to slip. OConnell then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Coldon slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Coldon takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. OConnell misses with a wild body shot. Nice defenses there by Coldon. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Coldon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. OConnell was covering up waiting for the punch and Coldon finishes the takedown easily into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Coldon throwing strikes from guard but OConnell blocks nicely. Coldon with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coldon throwing strikes but missing. Coldon slips nicely into half guard. Coldon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Coldon throwing shots but OConnell is blocking nicely. OConnell is trying to stand back up but Coldon is controlling him
Coldon is taking a breather. OConnell says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Coldon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coldon missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Ground and pound from Coldon.
It looks like Seamus OConnell has been cut. Coldon missing with the ground and pound from half guard. OConnell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coldon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Coldon is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Coldon is trying to control. OConnell wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Coldon not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Coldon is nestled in close to OConnell, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if OConnell can do anything to dispel that myth. OConnell is refusing to be controlled, as Coldon sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coldon is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Coldon not landing any meaningful shots this time. Coldon frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Coldon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Coldon looking to ground and pound but OConnell is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coldon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. OConnell looks a forlorn figure.
That has opened up Seamus OConnell's cut even more.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Coldon is going oldschool here, as he tries to force OConnell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so OConnell shrugs it off. Coldon lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The cut above Seamus OConnell's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Seamus OConnell's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Redge Coldon!
