Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Saliva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Payn! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saliva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Saliva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Saliva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Saliva won't allow Payn to sweep him here. Saliva wants to pass the guard but Payn is keeping the position. Payn is looking for a triangle here but Saliva uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Payn tries to buck Saliva off but Saliva is having none of it. Payn gets back to half guard. Payn is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Saliva is tapping! Great win for Payn!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jack Payn!
