The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aanenson is trying to pull guard but Martello has him pressed against the cage.

Martello gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Martello is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aanenson is just riding it out for now. Martello eventually gives up the hold.

Martello seems to be looking for submissions.

Martello wants to work for an arm triangle but Aanenson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Martello seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Aanenson has recovered full guard.

Aanenson has his feet on Martello's thighs here. He's pushed Martello off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Martello screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

After the fight, Sven Aanenson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
