Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Dougth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tor Eckman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for John Dougth has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Dougth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tor Eckman! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dougth misses with the combination.
Dougth thows a body shot but no joy. Eckman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Dougth is looking for a sweep. Eckman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eckman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Dougth wants to get back to his feet. Eckman drops an elbow to the side of Dougth's head. Eckman takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Eckman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dougth defending well though. Eckman wants to take a breather but Dougth is having none of it. Eckman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Dougth is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Eckman with the ground and pound but Dougth uses the opportunity to regain guard. Dougth keeping moving, preventing Eckman from controlling successfully. Dougth keeping full guard, as Eckman tries to pass. Dougth is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dougth controls Eckman momentarily but Eckman frees himself. Eckman lands a couple of digs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Eckman postures up in Dougth's guard and throws a big left but Dougth blocks it. Eckman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Eckman cracks Dougth with a solid left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eckman lands a couple of elbows. Eckman working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Eckman showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Eckman is in close to Dougth's body, working some short punches and elbows. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Eckman wants to control from the top but Dougth keeps moving. Eckman working some strikes from top position. Eckman content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Eckman wants to control from the top but Dougth keeps moving. Eckman scoring with some ground and pound. Eckman controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eckman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Eckman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Eckman wants to control from the top but Dougth keeps moving. Eckman working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Dougth is breathing heavily. Eckman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Eckman stands and throws Dougth's legs to the side, diving into side control. Eckman is putting a hurting on Dougth here, landing some big shots from side control. Dougth can't do much from the bottom here. Eckman working the body and head with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Eckman cracks Dougth with a big elbow. Eckman works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Eckman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Eckman connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dougth some visible discomfort.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Eckman lands a decent elbow from side control. Dougth takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dougth is working to avoid the ground and pound but Eckman connects with a decent elbow. Eckman working away. Eckman trying to control the action but Dougth is working from the bottom. Dougth wants to control but Eckman postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tor Eckman dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Eckman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Eckman lands a big shot there that rocks Dougth but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dougth is squirming around, avoiding Eckman's attempts to control the action. Eckman has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Eckman looking to finish Dougth with some ground and pound. This is bad for Dougth! Tor Eckman has got the better of the ground game so far. A nice elbow there by Eckman. Dougth wants to hold on but Eckman pushes him away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Eckman raining down hammerfists from mount. Eckman controlling the pace for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dougth taking shots to the head. Eckman lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The referee warns Dougth that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Eckman postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dougth looks a forlorn figure.
Dougth is bucking up trying to escape but Eckman cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Dougth is rocked! Eckman landing strikes from the mount and Dougth is in trouble! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Eckman lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Eckman is landing with some decent strikes but Dougth is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Dougth takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Eckman controlling his opponent. Eckman looking to finish Dougth with some ground and pound. This is bad for Dougth! Oh Dougth is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! A nice elbow there by Eckman. Dougth seems to have got his legs back now. Eckman landing strikes from the mount and Dougth is in trouble! Eckman lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
