Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford moves into the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Crowe manages to break the clinch.
Crowe slips under a jab.
Ford throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ford misses with a body punch
and Crowe counters with an outside leg kick.
Crowe lands a head kick. Ford smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Ford lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Crowe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Crowe fails to land with a series of punches.
Ford scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Ford is trying to get an arm triangle but Crowe is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crowe is not content to let Ford control the position.

Crowe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ford on the ground.

Ford wants to lay and pray for a moment but Crowe keeps working.

Ford cracks Crowe with a big right hand but Crowe just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Ford is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Crowe will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee asks Ford politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ford prefers to stall for the moment though.
Crowe is trying to control Ford's posture but Ford avoids it.

Crowe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Crowe tries to get out of the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nice body punch from Ford.

Crowe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ford was well out of range. Poor timing from Crowe.
Crowe fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ford tries to clinch but fails miserably

Ford feints and as Crowe raises his hands in defense, Ford changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ford is looking to work some ground and pound but Crowe has wrist control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Ford dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Crowe throws a head kick that misses.

Ford doesn't manage to clinch there - Crowe circles away.
Ford shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ford was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
