Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simba Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simba Burns has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Simba Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Miller!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns throws a nice looking combination but Miller bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nice sprawl there from Miller as Burns shoots in.
Burns shoots in looking for a takedown. Miller tries to sprawl out of it but Burns keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Miller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Miller looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Burns regains full guard. Nicely done.

Burns has his foot on Miller's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miller works his way back into a safe position though.

Burns can't keep his opponent in guard - Miller advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Burns is not content to let Miller control the position.
Burns might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Burns is trying to reverse the position but instead Miller has taken his back - oops!

Miller is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Miller gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Miller gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Miller apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Burns manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Miller manages to get himself to full guard.

Burns stands up and we're back to a striking position.

and Miller counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Burns wants to break the clinch but can't.
Burns is trying to maintain a safe position but Miller gets an underhook and turns Burns into the ropes.

Miller turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Miller manages to end up in side control.

Burns manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Burns works his way to full guard. Good work.
Burns utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Burns keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully.

Burns looking for a guillotine here but Miller defends easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Burns has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Miller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Burns manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but James Miller will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Burns rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miller moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Miller shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Burns as he jumps to the side.
Burns fails to land with a series of punches.
Burns dodges the punch combination from Miller.

Burns decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Miller makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Miller.
Burns tries to free his leg and advance position but Miller is retaining full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Burns drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Miller manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Burns has Miller in his guard.

Burns is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Miller rolls with it to try and escape but Burns cranks on the arm and Miller is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
