Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scott Steiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ignazio Cessini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Scott Steiner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ignazio Cessini! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steiner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Steiner misses with a low kick.
Cessini shoots for a takedown but Steiner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Steiner misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Steiner moves in looking to clinch but Cessini pushes him off. No joy there for Steiner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cessini looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Cessini wants to control from the top but Steiner keeps moving. Cessini is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cessini trying to control but Steiner is working from the bottom. Cessini controls from within his opponent's guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Ignazio Cessini hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Steiner defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cessini.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steiner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Steiner throws a combination. Cessini tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Steiner looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Steiner works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. A momentary lapse in concentration from Steiner enables Cessini to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Steiner manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Cessini has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Steiner to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Cessini is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Steiner pulls down on the head and he's put Cessini to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Scott Steiner!
