Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neil Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Country (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Roy Country was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Neil Mann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Roy Country!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann looks to land a left hand but Country moved out of range nicely.
Country fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mann manages to avoid it.
Country misses with an uppercut.
Country uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mann.
Mann throws a lazy right hand but Country sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A jab from Mann misses.
Mann avoids the body shot from Country.
A shot to the liver by Country. Beautiful body shot.
Neil Mann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mann fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mann walks into a jab.
Mann misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Country scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Nice straight punches there by Mann. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mann.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Country dives in and scores a takedown into Mann's guard.

Country throws a big elbow that misses.
Country wants to pass the guard but Mann is keeping the position.
Mann looking to hit a scissor sweep but Country is one step ahead there.
Country trying to control but Mann is working from the bottom.
Mann controls Country momentarily but Country frees himself.
Country preventing the sweep.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Country stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mann swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Country trying to control the position from guard on top but Mann is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mann has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Country can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mann is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Country defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Mann looks to land a right hand but Country moved out of range.
Mann shoots and misses
and Country counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Mann takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mann looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Mann stuffs the takedown attempt from Country. Country gets slowly back to his feet.
Country lands a nice hook to Mann's body. Mann takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Mann gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Mann shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Country manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Country wants to sweep here but Mann controlling him for the moment.
Country keeping moving, preventing Mann from controlling successfully.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mann accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Country looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mann is one step ahead there.

Mann with a flurry of punches that miss.
Mann's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mann throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Country not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Country has his foot on Mann's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mann works his way back into a safe position though.

Country looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Mann scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Mann wants to control from the top but Country keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mann postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Mann drops back, looking for a kneebar! Country looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Country looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Country!

Mann is looking to regain half guard here but Country keeps moving and retains side control.

Country is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mann has escaped the position, nice work there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mann manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Mann is staying active underneath Country, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Mann looking for submissions off his back.
Country moves into full mount! Mann won't be happy about that!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mann is working to get back to half guard.
Mann is working hard here to advance position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Neil Mann will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Mann stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mann wants it to stay on the feet.
Country throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mann lands a jab.
Mann throws a body punch but Country moves out of range.
Country misses with a wild body shot.

Mann tries to bum rush Country with a series of wild strikes but Country uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mann is defended easily by Country.

Mann shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Country eats them both and turns towards Mann to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Country blocks the body kick.
Country looks to throw the jab but Mann is out of range.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Neil Mann showed his dominance in that final round.
