Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hana Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Rod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hana Quinn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hana Quinn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timur Rod! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quinn throws a head kick that half lands.
Quinn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A punch combination from Rod misses. Rod slaps away a takedown attempt from Quinn, before circling back to the center of the mat. Quinn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Quinn is breathing heavily. Rod bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Rod tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Quinn swivels and escapes. No luck with that takedown attempt from Rod. Rod scores with a hook to the body. Quinn takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rod shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Quinn pinned against the cage. Quinn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hana Quinn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timur Rod. Rod shoots in and gets a takedown into Quinn's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rod stands up and waves to Quinn to follow him. Rod shoots in but no luck this time. Rod shoots for a double leg takedown but Quinn sprawls well. He's pushed Rod's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Rod shoots for a takedown but Quinn saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Rod connects with a body shot. The fight moves into the clinch position. Rod gets control of Quinn's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rod will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Quinn sitting in guard, not really doing much. Quinn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rod has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Quinn is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rod. Rod is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Quinn tries for a kimura but Rod is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rod tries to bench press Quinn off him but Quinn keeps the position. Quinn stands up and beckons Rod to his feet. Rod keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rod tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Quinn swivels and escapes. Quinn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Quinn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rod. Quinn misses with a few strikes there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Quinn circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rod moves in looking to clinch but Quinn pushes him off. Rod shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Quinn counters by clinching up. Quinn working hard to break the clinch. Quinn fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Rod lands a shoulder strike. Rod lands a left hand that snaps the head of Quinn backwards. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Quinn blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Rod drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Quinn gets the underhooks and prevents it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Timur Rod dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Quinn with a poor takedown enabling Rod to counter with a crisp jab. Rod tries for a takedown but Quinn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Rod moves to clinch but Quinn breaks away and Quinn holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Rod tries to circle away but Quinn has him pinned against the cage. Rod trying to land knees to the body.
Quinn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rod shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Quinn pinned against the cage. Quinn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Rod is looking to clinch. Timur Rod seems to be getting the better of the standup. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rod lands with a nice body punch. Rod gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Quinn tries to free his leg and advance position but Rod is retaining full guard. Quinn won't allow Rod to sweep him here. Rod keeping full guard, as Quinn tries to pass. Quinn prevents Rod from getting back to his feet. Quinn trying to control the position from guard on top but Rod is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Quinn tries to free his leg and advance position but Rod is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rod throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Rod looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quinn gets to his feet - Rod follows without any prompting. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rod shoots in looking for a takedown. Quinn tries to sprawl out of it but Rod keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Quinn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hana Quinn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timur Rod.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quinn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Quinn lands in his opponent's guard. Quinn gets to his feet. Rod looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Quinn rushes Rod and presses him up against the cage. Rod is trying to drag Quinn to the mat but Quinn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. A battle for position here, against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quinn ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Quinn no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Rod trying to control the position from guard on top but Quinn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rod missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Quinn doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Quinn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Quinn trying to keep a closed guard but Rod is proving a slippery customer.

Hana Quinn dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Rod shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Quinn sprawls well. Quinn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rod gets slowly back to his feet. Rod tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Quinn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Quinn shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rod napping and manages to drive through into side control! Rod tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Quinn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on Rod's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Quinn postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's one minute gone in the round. Quinn trying to control the position but Rod is working away. Rod can't do much from the bottom here. Rod is not content to let Quinn control the position. Rod bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Rod closes the distance and pushes Quinn back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quinn gets underhooks to prevent Rod's takedown attempt.
Quinn blocks an uppercut.
Rod keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Quinn's efforts to push away. Rod jumps guard but Quinn stands there with Rod around his waist. Rod gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hana Quinn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timur Rod. Quinn has Rod pressed against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Quinn sneaks back into half guard. Quinn scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Rod manages to mount him!
Hana Quinn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rod scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Quinn is looking to improve his position but Rod isn't that keen on the idea. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rod avoids the attempt from Quinn to control.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hana Quinn. I think Quinn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
