Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Muhammed Abdul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Regis King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Muhammed Abdul! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Regis King! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Abdul is trying to buck King off. Abdul wants to control but King postures up. King tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no King has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Abdul is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but King has just dragged him back down to the mat. King wants to lay and pray for a moment but Abdul keeps working. King is trying to get an arm triangle but Abdul is defending well. Abdul tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but King wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. King lands some shots froms side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Abdul wants to get back to his feet. Abdul tries to buck King off but King is having none of it. King connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Abdul some visible discomfort.
King tries to move into full mount but can't pass Abdul's legs. You can see the frustration on Abdul's face as King controls the position. Abdul is pushing King's head away, looking to escape. King manages to hold on to the position though. King in side control, just content to control the action for now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Abdul wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. King working the ground and pound from side control. Abdul is looking to work his way out of this bad position but King is controlling him well. Abdul is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. King just content to control the position. King is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Abdul has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Abdul sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. King trying to control from half guard but Abdul is working away. King is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Abdul sees it coming and defends easily. King stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Abdul. King lands a jab to Abdul's midsection. Abdul fails with the takedown and King counters with a nice double leg into side control. Abdul won't be happy with that. King has knee on belly and moves into mount. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. King is working for a guillotine from mount but Abdul frees his head quite easily.
Abdul has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
That's four minutes gone in the round. King has good solid back control here. King working for the choke. King trying to control. Abdul tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! King sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. King scoring with strikes but Abdul is staying in there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Regis King dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Abdul has his takedown stuffed and King counters with a left and a right that stings Abdul. Abdul shoots for a double leg takedown but King sprawls well. He's pushed Abdul's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. King closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Abdul's guard. Abdul has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes King off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Muhammed Abdul is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Abdul doesn't succeed with the takedown and King counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Abdul to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by King!
