Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andre Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Don Brascoe!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brascoe tests Brown's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Brascoe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Brown takes one to the side of the head.
Brown stuffs the takedown.
Brascoe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brown was well out of range. Poor timing from Brascoe.
Brascoe has a takedown stuffed.
Andre Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Brascoe.
Brascoe shoots in but Brown avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Brascoe shoots for a double leg takedown but Brown sprawls well. He's pushed Brascoe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Brown's corner calls for a 1-2. Brown obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brascoe looks to throw the jab but Brown is out of range.
Brown ducks under a wild hook from Brascoe.
Brascoe swings away with a body shot that misses
and Brown cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Brascoe with a lazy takedown attempt
and Brown counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Brascoe tries for a takedown but Brown sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brascoe looks winded!
Brown stuffs the takedown.
Brown misses with a wild combination.
Brown lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Brascoe shoots in for a takedown but Brown shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Brascoe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brown avoids it really well and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brascoe misses with a straight left.
Brown feints a jab promting Brascoe to slip. Brown then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Brascoe slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brascoe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Brown counters with a nice uppercut.
A cross from Brown lands.
Brascoe is rocked!
Brown fakes the body blow, causing Brascoe to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Brascoe goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Andre Brown!
