Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Dollaway! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Kavanagh! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dollaway shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Kavanagh really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Kavanagh is in a horrible position here. Dollaway smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Dollaway knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kavanagh on the ground. Kavanagh working to try and regain half guard.
Kavanagh is bucking up trying to escape but Dollaway cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Dollaway lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dollaway cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kavanagh shoots and misses and Dollaway counters with a takedown into side control. Kavanagh had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dollaway is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kavanagh Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dollaway's back instead. Kavanagh controlling well, preventing Dollaway from escaping the position.

Kavanagh has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Dollaway has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kavanagh is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Dollaway taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Kavanagh.
