Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Urinus Limberdinkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlton Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Limberdinkle comes to the cage accompanied by BLUNT- The Iron Maiden. Banks comes into a darkened arena with his song building. It's Not Unusual kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Urinus Limberdinkle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlton Banks!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks lands a right hook to the body.
Limberdinkle pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Limberdinkle throws a low kick but Banks moves out of range easily.
Limberdinkle lands a nice leg kick that just misses Banks's sensitive parts.
Limberdinkle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Limberdinkle.
A big right from Banks misses.
Limberdinkle scores with a kick to the body.
Banks moves into range and connects with a jab.
Limberdinkle looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Limberdinkle tries a low kick but Banks avoids it.
Limberdinkle moves out of range as Banks strikes.
A head kick misses from Limberdinkle.

Limberdinkle clinches up against the cage.
Banks is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Limberdinkle misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Banks.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Banks is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Limberdinkle is keeping busy.

Limberdinkle wants to break free but Banks has control.
Banks on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Limberdinkle is looking to take this one to the mat.
Limberdinkle is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Urinus Limberdinkle. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Limberdinkle gets control of Banks's arms and successfully pulls guard. Limberdinkle will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Limberdinkle escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Banks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Limberdinkle is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Banks is aware though and is defending well.
Limberdinkle tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Banks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Limberdinkle swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Limberdinkle looking to hit a scissor sweep but Banks is one step ahead there.

Limberdinkle is looking for a triangle here but Banks uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Limberdinkle tries to buck Banks off but Banks is having none of it.
Limberdinkle sneaks back into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Limberdinkle tries to get to full guard but Banks has control of the leg.

Limberdinkle manages to get to full guard.

Limberdinkle is looking for a triangle here but Banks uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Limberdinkle wants to control but Banks postures up.
Limberdinkle manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Limberdinkle looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Limberdinkle tries to roll over but Banks keeps him under control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Banks is trying to control. Limberdinkle wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Limberdinkle looking for submissions off his back.
Limberdinkle is looking for a sweep. Banks is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Limberdinkle looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Limberdinkle wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Urinus Limberdinkle dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Banks connects with a good right hand that stumbles Limberdinkle. Limberdinkle circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Limberdinkle scores with a kick to the midsection.
Banks scores with the left hand. Limberdinkle knows he should have avoided that one.
Limberdinkle dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Limberdinkle uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Banks.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Limberdinkle. Banks shrugs it off though.

Limberdinkle closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Banks to the mat! Banks manages to get full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Banks being controlled here, momentarily.
Limberdinkle pushing down on Banks's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Banks trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Urinus Limberdinkle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Limberdinkle can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Banks is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Banks avoids a series of strikes thrown by Limberdinkle.
Limberdinkle scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Banks?
Limberdinkle throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Banks because Limberdinkle loaded up on that one.
Banks is in a horrible position here. Limberdinkle smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Limberdinkle connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Banks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Limberdinkle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee warns Banks that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Poor strikes thrown by Limberdinkle there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Banks is in all sorts of trouble here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Banks can do anything to dispel that myth.
Limberdinkle lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.


Banks is rocked!
Limberdinkle lands a big shot to the head and Banks winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

A pretty intense looking Urinus Limberdinkle took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
