PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kill Bill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Bloggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Bloggs!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bill circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bloggs blocks a head kick by Bill.

Bloggs shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Bloggs stops Bill from standing up.
Bloggs throws a big right hand that misses.
Bill utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bill is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bloggs throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bloggs wants to control from the top but Bill keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bloggs with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bloggs throws a big right hand that misses.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bill scores with a jab to the body.
Bill throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Bloggs shoots in looking for a takedown. Bill tries to sprawl out of it but Bloggs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bill manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bill throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bill connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Bloggs looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Bloggs shoots in but Bill avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Bill moves into the clinch successfully.
Bill lands a nice knee to the body.
Bill scores with a knee to the head.

Bloggs lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Bloggs throws a strike but Bill avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Bloggs stops Bill from standing up.
Bloggs trying to control the position from guard on top but Bill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bill has his feet on Bloggs's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Bill bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bloggs's head backwards.
Bill catches Bloggs with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bill keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kill Bill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Bloggs.
Bloggs looks gassed!
Bloggs takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bill stalks Bloggs and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bloggs's face. Bloggs staggers backwards, shaken.
Bill looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Bill scores with a punch to the head.
Bloggs on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Bill moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Bloggs is rocked!
Bill lands with a big right hook that stumbles Bloggs - he's out on his feet here! Bill follows up with another monster hook that separates Bloggs from consciousness! Bloggs falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Bill stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kill Bill!
