Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Haral Dir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Dibiasse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dibiasse is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Cant tell me nuttin. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Haral Dir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ted Dibiasse! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dir darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. It looks like Dir is going to stand back up.
Dir is pressing down on Dibiasse's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dibiasse is holding on for now. Dibiasse is pressing down on Dir's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Dibiasse looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dir looking to sit in guard and control but Dibiasse gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Dibiasse slips nicely into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dir is looking for a sweep. Dibiasse is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dibiasse is looking to take a break and control but Dir is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dir blocking the ground and pound attempt from Dibiasse. Dibiasse missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Dibiasse looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Dibiasse is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dir sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dibiasse is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Dibiasse trying to advance position but Dir counters by regaining guard. Dibiasse wants to control from the top but Dir keeps moving. Dibiasse throws an elbow that misses. Dir uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dibiasse's guard. Nice move by Dir! Dibiasse looking for a sweep. Not yet Dibiasse, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dibiasse trying to control the position.
Dir not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dir seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dibiasse for as long as he can get away with. Dibiasse tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dir wants to control from the top but Dibiasse keeps moving.
Haral Dir has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Dir shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dibiasse napping and manages to drive through into side control! Dibiasse tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dibiasse is trying to control Dir's posture but Dir avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dibiasse tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dir wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. What's Dibiasse going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Dibiasse dodges the ground and pound from Dir. Dibiasse gets back to half guard. Dibiasse tries to roll over but Dir keeps him under control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dir wants to take a breather but Dibiasse is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ted Dibiasse will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Dir fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dibiasse sprawls well initially but Dir persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Dibiasse wants to improve his position but Dir is controlling well.
Dibiasse makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dibiasse. Dibiasse keeping moving, preventing Dir from controlling successfully. Dibiasse looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dibiasse is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Dibiasse had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dir defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dibiasse looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dir has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dir working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dir is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Dir lands a couple of decent looking shots. Dir stays in close to Dibiasse's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dir trying to control but Dibiasse is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Haral Dir. Dibiasse fails with the takedown and Dir decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dibiasse's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dir trying to control but Dibiasse is working from the bottom. Dibiasse is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dir is aware though and is defending well. Dir stands up and waves to Dibiasse to follow him. Dibiasse throws out a loose jab but Dir uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dir looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dibiasse! Dibiasse manages to regain half guard. Good work. Dibiasse slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Dibiasse escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dir gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dibiasse wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dir looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Dir wants to get up but he can't break Dibiasse's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Dibiasse is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Dir frees his head nicely. Oh but Dibiasse has switched to an armbar! Dir is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
