The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mac Cumhaill looking to score a takedown here. Chavez is defending well but Mac Cumhaill drives through and ends up in Chavez's guard.

Mac Cumhaill is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chavez defends it well.

Mac Cumhaill is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chavez is just riding it out for now. Mac Cumhaill eventually gives up the hold.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mac Cumhaill connects with a nice short shot to Chavez's temple.
