Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Stifler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blaze Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bailey has chosen Eminem - Lose Yourself as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Stifler !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Blaze Bailey!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bailey lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bailey doesn't manage to clinch there - Stifler circles away.
Bailey fails with an attempt to clinch.

Bailey closes the distance and clinches.
Stifler avoids a wild elbow strike from Bailey.
Stifler tries to pull guard but Bailey forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Stifler pulls guard.
Stifler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bailey is one step ahead there.
Bailey trying to control the position from guard on top but Stifler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stifler throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Bailey ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bailey throws out a leg kick but Stifler moves out of range and Bailey only half commits.
Stifler tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bailey sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stifler somewhat.
Stifler throws a hook but Bailey avoids it easily.
Stifler cracks Bailey with a right hand to the side of the head.
Bailey tries to work over Stifler 's front leg with a kick but Stifler checks it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bailey throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Stifler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bailey tries to avoid it but Stifler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bailey to the ground. Bailey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Stifler . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bailey throws a low kick, looking for Stifler 's leg but Stifler calmly moves out of range.

Bailey wants to clinch.
Stifler circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bailey plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Bailey is looking to slow Stifler down with leg kicks.
Stifler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bailey pinned against the cage. Bailey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters circling - Stifler throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Stifler counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Stifler throws a low kick, looking for Bailey's leg but Bailey calmly moves out of range.

Bailey throws a nice looking combination but Stifler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A head kick misses from Bailey.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Steve Stifler will probably get the nod.

Jab, jab by Bailey - just one landing.
Bailey moves out of range of the strikes.
Stifler lands a glancing blow to the side of Bailey's head.

Good leg kick by Bailey there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Stifler throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bailey.

Bailey drives through and clinches with Stifler against the cage.

Stifler is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bailey to keep the fight standing.
Bailey pushes Stifler back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Bailey creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Stifler 's defenses.
Bailey gets through Stifler 's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Bailey stalling in the clinch but Stifler improves position.

Bailey lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Stifler or not.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Stifler jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bailey walks away with a smile on his face. Stifler gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bailey feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Stifler 's calf.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bailey throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Stifler 's head.
Bailey fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Bailey swings for the body but Stifler moves out of range.

Bailey tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

and Stifler counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Bailey moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Bailey tries to clinch but Stifler is having none of it.
Bailey tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stifler paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Stifler tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bailey smiles and moves away.
Bailey tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Stifler manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Steve Stifler is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bailey staying out of range there.
Bailey scores with a jab to the jaw.
Bailey lands with a kick to the ribs.
Bailey buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Blaze Bailey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stifler throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bailey throws a head kick that misses.
Bailey dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Stifler . That did some damage!
Stifler avoids a punch combination nicely.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Stifler blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Bailey lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Stifler manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Stifler is adopting a defensive guard.
Bailey wants to control from the top but Stifler keeps moving.
Bailey might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Stifler kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bailey tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stifler paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Blaze Bailey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


A left lands for Stifler .
Bailey throws a low kick but Stifler avoids it.
Bailey lands a right hook to the body.
Stifler shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bailey sprawls well. Bailey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stifler gets slowly back to his feet.
Stifler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bailey tries to avoid it but Stifler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bailey to the ground. Bailey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Stifler closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bailey keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Stifler throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Bailey regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Stifler .

Bailey is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Stifler tries to pull guard but Bailey holds him up against the cage and eventually Stifler drops back down to his feet.
Bailey lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Stifler pulls Bailey into guard.

Stifler isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bailey stacks Stifler on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bailey!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Stifler is trying to get back to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Stifler is looking to reverse the position.
Bailey wants to control but Stifler is keeping him busy.

Steve Stifler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

I would just about give that final round to Blaze Bailey.
I think Bailey has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
