Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kjell Sword (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. This should be a great matchup!

2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeffrey Ramirez! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Ramirez misses. Ramirez looks winded! Sword shoots in and gets a takedown into Ramirez's guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Ramirez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sword controls the pace. Sword got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ramirez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sword has managed to get both his arms back between Ramirez's legs - danger averted. Sword postures up and lands a big shot to Ramirez's brow. Sword working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ramirez's head. Sword with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Sword advances position into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sword landing strikes. Sword grinds an elbow into Ramirez's temple. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Sword working the head and body with strikes. Sword cracks Ramirez with a big right hand but Ramirez just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Ramirez tries to control but Sword manages to take his back. The referee is taking a good look at Ramirez as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Sword!

That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sword connects with a nice short shot to Ramirez's temple. Kjell Sword overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sword is thwarting Ramirez's attempts to control the position. Sword looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ramirez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ramirez actively working from the bottom here. Sword content to control rather than advance. Sword working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Ramirez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sword pulls his head out easily. Sword winds up and cracks Ramirez with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sword in particular looking to stall. Ramirez is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sword scores with a couple of nice shots. Ramirez is looking for a sweep. Sword is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ramirez looking for submissions off his back. Sword takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sword is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Sword looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ramirez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ramirez misses with a straight right. Sword shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ramirez is trying to defend but Sword finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Ramirez slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Sword postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Sword wants to control from the top but Ramirez keeps moving. Sword lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Sword is sitting in close to Ramirez's body. Ramirez has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Sword is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Sword is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Ramirez.
