Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Farrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randall McSweeney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Randall McSweeney will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brandon Farrell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Randall McSweeney! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McSweeney looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Farrell fails to land the takedown. Farrell takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Brandon Farrell has been cut. Farrell misses with a leg kick. Ouch! a nice leg kick from McSweeney, right into the meat.
McSweeney slips under a jab from Farrell. McSweeney throws a head kick that misses. McSweeney pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McSweeney throws a half hearted mid kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Farrell blocks a head kick by McSweeney.
McSweeney looks winded! Farrell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McSweeney. McSweeney is looking to clinch. McSweeney gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McSweeney can do anything to dispel that myth. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Farrell with a flurry of punches that miss. Farrell is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Farrell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Farrell trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Farrell slips nicely into half guard. Farrell working McSweeney over with strikes. Farrell lands strikes from half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Farrell takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Farrell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Farrell performing his best blanket impression for a moment. McSweeney wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Farrell in particular looking to stall. Farrell winds up and cracks McSweeney with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Nice strikes from Farrell there. Farrell is figuring out what he wants to do next. Farrell works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Farrell raining down hammerfists from mount. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Farrell controlling from the full mount. Farrell unloading with bombs! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Farrell sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. McSweeney should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. BOOM! Farrell connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Brandon Farrell dominated that round. The cut man is working on Brandon Farrell's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A looping hook to the body misses from Farrell. McSweeney does a little dance to reset his feet. McSweeney throws a leg kick but Farrell sees it coming and checks it nicely. McSweeney connects with a leg kick. Farrell looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Farrell takes a swing at McSweeney's ribcage but misses. McSweeney finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Farrell dives in and scores a takedown into McSweeney's guard. Farrell postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. McSweeney is breathing heavily. Farrell controls from within his opponent's guard. McSweeney keeping moving, preventing Farrell from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Farrell working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McSweeney's head. Farrell throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Brandon Farrell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Farrell loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Farrell is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Farrell postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Farrell missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Farrell landing with the ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Farrell is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Farrell lands a couple of elbows. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Farrell's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Farrell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McSweeney works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Farrell is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Farrell lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Farrell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Farrell slips nicely into half guard. Farrell working the head and body with strikes. Nice strikes from Farrell there. Farrell scores with a couple of good hammerfists. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Farrell is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for McSweeney!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Farrell breaks from McSweeney's wrist control and lands an elbow. Farrell is in the full mount, landing strikes.
McSweeney is rocked! Farrell loads up with a big shot that hurts McSweeney! He's pulled Farrell in close but Farrell has postured up and lands more strikes. Can McSweeney survive? More strikes from Farrell and McSweeney is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
