Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christian Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dion Fitzwater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harris kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is We Built This City by Jefferson Starship on Grooveshark target=blank>We Built This City. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dion Fitzwater! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fitzwater on his heels. He'll look to pass Fitzwater's guard now, I'm sure. Harris postures up in Fitzwater's guard and throws a big left but Fitzwater blocks it. Harris trying to control the position from guard on top but Fitzwater is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref stands the fighters back up because Christian Harris just wasn't active enough. Harris moves into the clinch. A short right from Fitzwater. Harris really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Harris jumps guard and drags Fitzwater to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris pulls Fitzwater in close to prevent any damage. Harris will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Fitzwater throws a big elbow that misses. Harris will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Harris trying to keep a closed guard but Fitzwater is proving a slippery customer.
Christian Harris has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Harris clinches up with Fitzwater and pushes him back against the cage. Harris drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fitzwater pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fitzwater with a poor takedown and Harris decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fitzwater's guard. Fitzwater avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Harris pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fitzwater is keeping the position for now. Harris decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Harris closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Harris lands in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris chips away with some ground and pound. Fitzwater throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Harris pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fitzwater is keeping the position for now. Fitzwater looks winded! Harris seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
We're going to have a standup here because Christian Harris wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Fitzwater with a lazy takedown attempt and Harris counters with a lovely shot to the body. Harris closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Harris ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Harris no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Harris trying to control the position here. Harris is looking for a triangle here but Fitzwater uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christian Harris dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A head kick misses from Harris. Fitzwater doesn't succeed with the takedown and Harris counters with a nice double leg into guard. Harris lands a couple of decent looking shots. Harris passes easily into side control. Nice work. Fitzwater is breathing heavily. Harris scoring with punches and elbows. Christian Harris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris decides to take the fight back to the feet. Harris thows a body shot but no joy. Fitzwater gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Harris wants to control from the top but Fitzwater keeps moving. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fitzwater can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Christian Harris just wasn't active enough. Fitzwater gets caught flat footed, as Harris shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Harris is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Harris lands a couple of digs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris passes Fitzwater's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Harris controlling the action here. Harris seems to be working for a kimura but Fitzwater defends the submission attempt. Harris passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harris controlling from the full mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christian Harris dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Harris shoots in and bounces Fitzwater off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Harris trying to control the position from guard on top but Fitzwater is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Harris looking to pass the guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Christian Harris wasn't doing enough on the ground. Harris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fitzwater's waist but Fitzwater gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Harris off to one side. Harris shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Harris was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Harris working Fitzwater over with strikes here. Harris takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Dion Fitzwater has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fitzwater takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harris dominating with strikes here. Harris is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fitzwater can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Harris stands up from mount. Strange move. Harris shoots in and gets a takedown into Fitzwater's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Harris works over Fitzwater with some ground and pound from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris passes into half guard. Harris has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Fitzwater defend it? Harris steps over the head and cranks it - Fitzwater is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Harris!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Christian Harris! After winning the bout, Christian Harris thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
