Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Karate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daffy Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eric Karate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daffy Drake!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karate swats away the attempt to clinch by Drake.
Karate shoots in for a takedown but Drake shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Drake is looking to slow Karate down with leg kicks.
Drake wants to clinch.

Drake shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Karate's guard.
Drake looking to sit in guard and control but Karate gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Drake is pulling down on Karate's head to control his posture.
Drake is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Karate won't allow Drake to pass to mount.

Drake tries to stand but can't do so whilst Karate controls his leg.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Drake in particular looking to stall.
Karate is looking to improve his position.
Still in half guard, Drake seems content to control.

Karate looking for submissions off his back.
Well, if Drake is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Drake tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Karate.
Karate slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Karate is on top in guard.
Drake looking for a sweep. Not yet Drake, not yet.
Drake working a defensive guard here.
Karate loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Karate pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Drake is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Drake pulls Karate in close to prevent any damage.
Drake working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Karate.
Karate trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Karate is fighting to break Drake's control of his arms but Drake is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Karate stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Drake swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Drake wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Daffy Drake was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Karate doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Drake checks the leg kick.
Karate throws a head kick that misses.
Karate fails with the takedown.
Drake checks a low kick from Karate.

Drake clinches up against the cage.
Karate is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Drake pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Karate misses with a low kick.
Drake tries to clinch there but Karate circles away.

Drake moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daffy Drake dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Karate shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Drake but Drake pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Karate on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Drake. Drake obviously looking to wear him down.
Daffy Drake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drake slaps away a takedown attempt from Karate, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Drake fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Karate.
Eric Karate is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Drake is looking to clinch but Karate is avoiding it.
Karate defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Drake.
Drake tries to clinch but Karate is having none of it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Drake looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Karate wants to break free but Drake has control.
Drake slowing the pace effectively.

Drake's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Drake tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Karate paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Drake shoots in for a takedown but Karate shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

so Drake counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Karate. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Drake controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Karate keeping moving, preventing Drake from controlling successfully.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Karate looking to hit a scissor sweep but Drake is one step ahead there.
Drake advances position into side control!
Karate is letting Drake control him for a moment.

Karate tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Drake easily slips into full mount!

Karate tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Karate sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Drake is looking to advance position but Karate won't allow it.
Drake seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Karate does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Drake wants to pass the guard but Karate is defending well.
Drake is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Drake has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Drake looking for a guillotine from mount but Karate is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daffy Drake showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Eric Karate's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Karate counters with a head kick.
Drake lands an overhand right.
Karate avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Karate shoots in and drives through. Drake sprawls well.

Drake shoots in and bounces Karate off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Drake stays in close to Karate's body and controls the position.

Drake gets to his feet. Karate looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Karate looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Drake is fending him off so far but Karate persists. Nope, Drake circles away and we're back to standing.
Drake throws a shot to the body.
Daffy Drake seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Karate fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Karate. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Drake takes the fight into the clinch.
Karate tries to pull guard but Drake forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Drake scores with a nice short uppercut.

Drake jumps into guard, dragging Karate to the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Karate preventing the sweep.
Drake manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Drake content just to control the position here.

Drake is standing up, even though he is in mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Karate looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Drake!
Drake is working to get back to half guard.

Karate cracks Drake with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Karate avoids the attempt from Drake to control.
Drake is trying desperately to improve position.
Drake slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Karate connects with a nice short shot to Drake's temple.
Karate is looking to advance position but Drake won't allow it.
Karate trying to control the action but Drake is working from the bottom.

Drake works his way to full guard. Good work.
Karate working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Drake looking to control.
Daffy Drake has got the better of the ground game so far.
Drake lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Karate!
Eric Karate has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Daffy Drake comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Drake has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
