Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alf Hooker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hooker is trying to defend but Hill finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Hooker works his way to full guard. Good work.

Hooker leaves Hill with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A close round but Alf Hooker will probably get the nod.

Hill throws a right hand that Hooker ducks under and follows up with a left that Hooker also avoids with ease.

Hill has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hooker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hooker lands a knee to the head.

Oh Hill is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hooker comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Hooker using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hill has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Hooker moves into the clinch.
Hill jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hooker walks away with a smile on his face. Hill gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hill dives in and grabs Hooker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hooker pushes down on Hill's head and hops out.
Hill misses with a looping left.
Hill takes a head kick and keeps coming.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hill throws a right and a left that Hooker avoids nicely.
Hill shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hooker pinned against the cage. Hooker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hill looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hooker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hill shoots for a takedown but Hooker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Hill shoots in looking for a takedown. Hooker tries to sprawl out of it but Hill keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hooker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jacob Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hill drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hill takes a little break here. Hooker wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Alf Hooker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hooker is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Hooker lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Hooker.

Hill stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hooker swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hooker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hill stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hooker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Alf Hooker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jacob Hill.
I think Hooker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
