Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matts Serra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kakihara Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace has chosen Kid Cudi - Just What I am as his entrance music. Kakihara Wallace will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matts Serra! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kakihara Wallace! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Wallace swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Serra misses with a body shot.
Wallace slips under a jab. Serra misses with a wild body shot. Wallace tries to bum rush Serra with a series of wild strikes but Serra uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Wallace scores with a jab. Serra acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Serra just misses with a punch to the body.
Serra shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wallace but Wallace pushes him off and we're back to square one. Wallace lands a nice looking body shot.
Serra lands with a shot to the body. Serra misses the jab. The fighters circling - Wallace throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Wallace misses with a hook. Serra ducked under it nicely. Wallace forces Serra back against the cage and clinches. This has been an exciting period of action! Serra is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Wallace is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serra prevents a body shot from Wallace. Wallace scores with an uppercut up the middle. Wallace misses with a hook from the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Serra. Wallace lands a hook that snaps the head of Serra backwards. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Wallace looking to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace keeps control of Serra as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Wallace misses with some punches.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Serra jumps guard and drags Wallace to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Serra is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Serra keeping full guard, as Wallace tries to pass. Wallace wants to get up but he can't break Serra's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Serra trying to keep a closed guard but Wallace is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Serra is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Serra escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wallace gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Serra looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wallace is one step ahead there. Wallace is looking to stand up but Serra won't let him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Serra keeping moving, preventing Wallace from controlling successfully. Serra not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kakihara Wallace hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Wallace swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wallace swings for the body but Serra moves out of range.
Wallace shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Wallace walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wallace takes a body punch but keeps moving. Serra lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wallace at a distance.
Wallace throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Wallace misses the jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kakihara Wallace dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wallace moves into the clinch. Serra is trying to push Wallace away but Wallace has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Wallace misses with some punches.

Wallace gets caught napping as Serra dives in and scores a takedown. Wallace manages to retain guard. Wallace keeping full guard, as Serra tries to pass. Wallace is looking to stand up but Serra isn't so interested in that idea.

Serra might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Serra is looking to advance position but Wallace has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Serra is squirming around, avoiding Wallace's attempts to control the action. Serra really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace tries to control but Serra wriggling away. Serra is desperately trying to improve his position but Wallace has a good base and remains in mount. Wallace trying to control but he's not successful this time. Serra manages to regain half guard. Good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Serra is looking for a sweep. Wallace is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Kakihara Wallace hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Serra moves out of range as Wallace strikes. Serra cracks Wallace with an open hand slap. Kakihara Wallace is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Serra ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wallace moves away. Wallace uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Serra.
Serra scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Wallace wants to clinch up but Serra keeps it at a distance. Wallace throws a hook but Serra avoids it easily. Wallace scores with a jab. Wallace pushes Serra up against the cage in a clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Wallace. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wallace. Wallace misses with some punches.
Wallace tries to throw a body punch but Serra avoids it by throwing Wallace back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Serra breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Wallace throws a jab when Serra was well out of range. Wallace throws a combination. Serra tries to block but a couple of punches get through. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wallace misses with a few strikes there.
Serra scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Serra scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Kakihara Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wallace throws a series of punches but Serra moves out of range. Kakihara Wallace is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wallace bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Serra moves out of range of the strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wallace clinches. A battle for position here, against the cage. A body shot lands from Wallace.

Kakihara Wallace showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Serra is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wallace sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Wallace misses with a low kick. Serra takes a shot right to the bread basket. Wallace tries to grapple but his opponent circles so Serra counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Serra is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Wallace pushes Serra off and gets back to his feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wallace. Serra does a little dance to reset his feet. Kakihara Wallace seems to be getting the better of the standup. Wallace misses with a few strikes there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serra misses with a looping right. A big right from Wallace misses. Wallace takes a swing at Serra's ribcage but misses. Serra keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Serra throws a jab but it's blocked by Wallace. Wallace lands with a shot to the body. Wallace throws an overhand right that lands on Serra's shoulder, as Serra tries to avoid the shot. Wallace closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Serra successfully pulls guard.
Serra has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wallace can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wallace wanted to stand there but Serra had control of the position. Matts Serra has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Serra wants to sweep but no luck. Wallace stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Serra swivels though and keeps the full guard. Serra is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Serra is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wallace is aware though and is defending well. Wallace preventing the sweep. Serra is trying to keep Wallace in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kakihara Wallace. Serra works the jab nicely. Serra just misses with a punch to the body.
Serra takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Serra throws a good cross that connects.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Serra walks into a stiff left hand from Wallace. Wallace throws a series of punches but Serra moves out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wallace connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Wallace takes one to the chin there.

And that's the end of the fight! Matts Serra showed his dominance in that final round. I think Wallace has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
