PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ikki Rokusho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enrique Molito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Molito has chosen Caramba !! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Molito misses the jab.
Molito keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rokusho.

Molito uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rokusho.

Molito scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rokusho doesn't seem bothered though.

Molito takes a swing at Rokusho's ribcage but misses.
Rokusho's corner calls for a 1-2. Rokusho obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Rokusho tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Molito was well out of range. Poor timing from Rokusho.

Rokusho is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Molito.

Molito clobbers Rokusho with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Rokusho uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Molito.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Good leg kick by Molito there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Molito looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Molito rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rokusho moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Enrique Molito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Molito takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Rokusho catches Molito with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Rokusho cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Enrique Molito has been cut.
Molito lands a jab to Rokusho's midsection.
Rokusho moves out of range of the body kick from Molito.
Molito lands with a shot to the body.
Molito tries to close the distance and clinch but Rokusho swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That kick from Molito tenderised Rokusho's leg. Rokusho is trying to keep his angry face on.
Molito digs a good hook to Rokusho's body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rokusho checks a leg kick.

Molito is looking to chop away at Rokusho's legs.
Molito dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rokusho. That did some damage!
Molito cracks Rokusho with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Rokusho walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Molito takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Some bone on bone action there as Rokusho checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Molito closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oh Rokusho is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Molito turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Molito feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Rokusho crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

Enrique Molito decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
