Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Safdar Al Razi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adriano Cassimiro Andrade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Safdar Al Razi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adriano Cassimiro Andrade!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Razi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Andrade.
Al Razi tries to clinch but Andrade is having none of it.
Al Razi staying out of range there.
Andrade misses with a series of wild punches.
Andrade loads up on a big right hand but Al Razi slips the punch.
Andrade throws a good cross that connects.

Al Razi gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Andrade to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Al Razi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Andrade can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Andrade cracks Al Razi with a solid left hand.

Andrade is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Al Razi can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Al Razi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Andrade cracks Al Razi with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Al Razi is bucking up trying to escape but Andrade cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Andrade seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Al Razi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Al Razi wants to get back to full guard but Andrade has passed into side control.
Andrade lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Al Razi down.
Al Razi wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Andrade is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Al Razi has escaped the position, nice work there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Al Razi pushes Andrade away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Andrade gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Al Razi tries a head kick but it misses.
Al Razi shoots in but no luck this time.
An inside leg kick lands from Al Razi.
Sloppy strikes from Andrade. Those never looked like landing.
Andrade fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Al Razi counters with an inside leg kick.
Al Razi shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Andrade is defended easily by Al Razi.
Al Razi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Andrade paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Andrade doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Al Razi counters with a nice low kick that buckles Andrade's knee momentarily.
Safdar Al Razi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adriano Cassimiro Andrade.

Andrade looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Andrade moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Al Razi.
Al Razi gets back to half guard.
Andrade is trying to control the action in half guard but Al Razi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Al Razi tries to kick Andrade off but Andrade keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Andrade might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Al Razi kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Andrade tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Andrade has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Al Razi is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Andrade is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Andrade is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Al Razi to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Al Razi shrugs it off.
Andrade breaks from Al Razi's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Al Razi is in a horrible position here. Andrade smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Andrade tries to control but Al Razi wriggling away.
Andrade pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Andrade with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Andrade prevents Al Razi from getting the reversal.

Andrade is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Andrade extends the arm and Al Razi is forced to tap!

Adriano Cassimiro Andrade really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that TFP Graphics - Pit Inc logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
