Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wilfrid Laurier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has chosen If I cant do it. as his entrance music. Curtis Jackson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laurier paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Laurier throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jackson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Laurier pinned against the cage. Laurier gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Laurier takes a swing at Jackson's ribcage but misses.
Jackson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Laurier lands a right hook to the body.
Laurier moves out of range of the leg kick from Jackson.
Laurier slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Laurier tries to sprawl but Jackson drives through with a takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Laurier is looking to control Jackson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Laurier avoid being mounted?

Laurier has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackson is working away from the top position though.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Curtis Jackson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Jackson closes the distance and clinches up with Laurier, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes Laurier against the cage but Laurier circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown but Laurier shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Laurier lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Jackson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Laurier has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Jackson counters with a nice body shot.
Laurier throws an overhand right that lands on Jackson's shoulder, as Jackson tries to avoid the shot.

and Jackson counters with an outside leg kick.
Jackson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Laurier sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Laurier connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jackson's hands.

Jackson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Laurier quickly recovers to half guard.

Jackson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Laurier sees it coming and defends easily.

Jackson is stalling here. Laurier is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jackson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Laurier has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Curtis Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far.

You can see the frustration on Jackson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jackson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Jackson tries to roll over but Laurier keeps him under control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Laurier lands a nice short elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Curtis Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Laurier throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jackson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
