Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Runkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Leonidas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Runkle kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Californication theme . The crowd seem to be enjoying Leonidas's choice of entrance music: Spartan Warriors. King Leonidas is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
25 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Runkle !
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
22 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, King Leonidas!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Runkle clinches up against the cage.
Leonidas lands with a left to the head.
Leonidas lands an uppercut.
Runkle looking to stall.
Leonidas swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Leonidas tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Runkle 's elbow.
Runkle tries to throw a body punch but Leonidas avoids it by throwing Runkle back against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Runkle .
Still in the clinch, Leonidas scores with a nice short uppercut.
Runkle throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Leonidas has a couple of punches blocked by Runkle .
Runkle tries to land knees in the clinch but Leonidas avoids the damage to the body.
Leonidas has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Runkle avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Runkle blocks a body shot from Leonidas.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Leonidas.
Leonidas misses with a hook from the clinch.
Leonidas jumps into guard, dragging Runkle to the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Runkle seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Leonidas wriggles free and stands up.
Runkle tries to close the distance and clinch but Leonidas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Leonidas misses with a body punch
and Runkle counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Leonidas thinking.
Runkle fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Leonidas is out of range.
Runkle scores with a hook to the body. Leonidas takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Leonidas dips to his left and cracks Runkle with an uppercut!
Charlie Runkle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leonidas just misses with a punch to the body.
Runkle closes the distance looking to clinch
and Leonidas counters with a straight right hand.
Leonidas scores with a decent looking hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Runkle looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Runkle with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Runkle throws a leg kick but Leonidas sees it coming and moves out of range.
Runkle scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A looping hook to the body misses from Leonidas. Runkle does a little dance to reset his feet.
Runkle is looking to clinch.
Runkle takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Runkle scores with a hook to the body. Leonidas takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Leonidas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Runkle gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Runkle is rocked!
Runkle with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Leonidas to score with a decent uppercut.
Oh Runkle is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Leonidas drops Runkle with a naaaaasty hook - Runkle is in real trouble here! Leonidas dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). King Leonidas!
