Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leland Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer comes to the cage accompanied by Annihilator - Fun Palace. Roberto Silva has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leland Palmer!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roberto Silva!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Palmer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Silva's guard now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A combination from Palmer does no damage.

Silva tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Palmer just stands there and leans against the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silva lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva tries to kick Palmer off but Palmer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Palmer is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Palmer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Silva moves into the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Palmer.
Palmer lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Silva backwards.
Palmer lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Silva lands with a short shot to the head.
Palmer throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Silvas head.
Palmer unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Silva! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Palmer is unloading with more strikes now! Silva drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leland Palmer!
Leland Palmer retains his middleweight title!
In his post fight interview, Leland Palmer started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
