Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Funk McTavish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Matthew Jacobs! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobs closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McTavish did well to prevent Jacobs getting side control. Jacobs lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. McTavish gets back to full guard.
Jacobs is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. McTavish looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

McTavish had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jacobs defends it easily. McTavish knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacobs on the ground. McTavish is breathing heavily.

Jacobs misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jacobs decides to stand back up. Jacobs shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches McTavish napping and manages to drive through into side control! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jacobs decides to stand back up. Jacobs steps back and let's McTavish get back to his feet. McTavish takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Jacobs lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

McTavish might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jacobs scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish McTavish?

McTavish is rocked! Jacobs with a couple of short strikes. Oh McTavish is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Jacobs has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McTavish's face.

After the fight, Matthew Jacobs was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
