Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Pitney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elias Nielsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nielsen has chosen Cornstick Feat. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Elias Nielsen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pitney fails in his attempt to clinch. Pitney throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nielsen. Pitney gets caught napping as Nielsen dives in and scores a takedown. Pitney manages to retain guard. Pitney is adopting a defensive guard. Pitney is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pitney working a defensive guard here.

Pitney lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Nielsen! Nielsen tries to reverse the position but Pitney maintains control. Nielsen is squirming around, avoiding Pitney's attempts to control the action. Pitney prevents Nielsen from getting the reversal. Pitney wants to finish this one by submission but Nielsen is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Pitney. Nielsen is looking to improve his position but Pitney isn't that keen on the idea. Elias Nielsen has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pitney stands up from mount. Strange move. Nielsen slaps away a takedown attempt from Pitney, before circling back to the center of the mat. Nielsen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pitney's guard. Nielsen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nielsen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pitney pulls his head out easily. He's hooked one of Pitney's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pitney's back! Nielsen is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Pitney is defending well though. Nielsen let's go of the attempt for now. Pitney rolls, trying to escape but Nielsen keeps control of the position.

Nielsen is trying to stick to Pitney's back but Pitney is turning into Nielsen. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Nielsen's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Pitney. Nielsen trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nice sprawl there from Nielsen as Pitney shoots in. Nielsen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Elias Nielsen will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Nielsen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pitney manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nielsen manages to get himself to full guard.

Nielsen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pitney defends it easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pitney working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pitney keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Nielsen's head. Nielsen keeping full guard, as Pitney tries to pass. Nielsen has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Pitney doesn't defend quickly enough and Nielsen has managed to lock this one up! Can Pitney escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Nielsen on a fantastic submission victory.
