Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cy Coe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Scheisse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coe comes to the cage accompanied by Insane In The Membrane - Cypress Hill. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cy Coe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Scheisse!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Coe finds it's way through Scheisse's defenses.
Coe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The fighters circling - Coe throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Coe slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Scheisse misses with the combination.
Scheisse avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nice body kick there by Coe.
Coe throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Scheisse cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Coe throws a solid leg kick but Scheisse takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Coe.
Scheisse slips under a jab from Coe.
Coe throws a hook to the side of Scheisse's head but Scheisse sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Scheisse is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A telegraphed right hand from Coe misses the target.
Scheisse tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scheisse throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Coe throws a push kick but Scheisse slaps the foot to one side.
Coe tries to work over Scheisse's front leg with a kick but Scheisse checks it.
Coe bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Scheisse tries to sprawl but Coe drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Coe wants to pass the guard but Scheisse is defending well.

Coe is working for a submission of some sort.
Scheisse avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Coe.
Coe missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Coe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Scheisse is defending against the submission attempts here by Coe.

Coe decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Good leg kick by Coe there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Scheisse lands a big head kick that sends Coe tumbling to the mat! Scheisse takes a step backwards and waves Coe back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Coe is rocked!


It looks like Cy Coe has been cut.
Scheisse bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Scheisse throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cy Coe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Coe moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Coe cracks Scheisse with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Scheisse looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Coe finish him?


Scheisse is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Scheisse lands a big head kick that sends Coe to the canvas! Scheisse follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Scheisse!
During a confident post fight interview, Michael Scheisse thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
