PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jet Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikel Millar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lang comes to the cage accompanied by Surokichi Remix. Millar is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Gangnam Style. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mikel Millar!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Millar as he jumps to the side.

Millar tries to clinch but Lang is having none of it.
Millar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lang tries to avoid it but Millar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lang to the ground. Lang escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lang closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lang is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Millar has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Millar!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mikel Millar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Millar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Millar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lang gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lang might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
