Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Malvin Maldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slim Shadie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maldi comes to the cage accompanied by Loituma TECHNO!. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shadie blocks a jab.
Shadie closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Sloppy strikes from Maldi. Those never looked like landing.
Maldi shoots for a takedown but Shadie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Maldi scores with a jab. Shadie acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Malvin Maldi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shadie throws a hook to the side of Maldi's head but Maldi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Maldi connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Shadie's hands.
Maldi lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Maldi.

A low kick from Shadie is predictable there
and Maldi counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Shadie is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shadie has his foot on Maldi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Maldi works his way back into a safe position though.

Maldi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Shadie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maldi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Shadie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Maldi is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Shadie looks calm but he's in trouble here. Maldi gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Shadie is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Maldi lets go of the hold and Shadie can pop his arm back in it's socket.
