Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Walsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gunner Reed!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Reed tries to clinch but Walsh moves out of range.

Reed gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Walsh jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Reed walks away with a smile on his face. Walsh gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Reed is looking to clinch but Walsh is avoiding it.
Reed tries to clinch but Walsh is having none of it.

Reed has Walsh up against the cage in a clinch.
Reed gets through Walsh's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Walsh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Walsh has Reed up against the cage in a clinch.
Walsh changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Reed fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Walsh moves into the clinch successfully.
Reed lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Walsh breaks from the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walsh dives in and grabs Reed's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reed pushes down on Walsh's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Walsh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reed scores with a nice right hand.
Reed tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Walsh paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Reed clinches up against the cage.
Walsh could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Reed looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Walsh tries to circle away but Reed has him pinned against the cage.
Reed wants to break the clinch but can't.
Walsh drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Reed's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Reed moves in looking to clinch but Walsh pushes him off.
Reed fails with an attempt to clinch.
Walsh swats away the attempt to clinch by Reed.
Gunner Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Walsh drives through and clinches with Reed against the cage.
Reed lands a hook that snaps the head of Walsh backwards.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Reed manages to break the clinch.
Reed is looking to clinch but Walsh is avoiding it.
Reed doesn't manage to clinch there - Walsh circles away.

Walsh clinches.
Reed is working Walsh over against the cage.
Walsh tries to break the clinch but Reed is controlling the position.
Reed tries to circle away but Walsh has him pinned against the cage.
Reed lands a hook to the side of the head.
Walsh is breathing heavily.
Reed wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Walsh has him pressed against the cage.

Walsh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Reed closes the distance and clinches.
Reed just leaning against Walsh, taking a breather.
A short uppercut from Reed.
Reed lands a left hand that snaps the head of Walsh backwards.
Reed working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
A nice right hand lands inside from Reed.
Reed lands with a short punch from the clinch.


Walsh is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Reed scores with a shot to the side of Walsh's head.
Oh Walsh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A short body shot lands from Reed as the two fighters clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Reed dips a shoulder and cracks Walsh with a mighty uppercut! Walsh falls back against the cage and Reed unloads with a barrage of strikes! Walsh is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Reed screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gunner Reed!
Gunner Reed decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
