Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shane Mahoney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mahoney comes into the arena with Dropkick Murphys - Flannigans Ball blaring out of the sound system. Shane Mahoney has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahoney jabs Wayne right on the nose. Wayne blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Bruce Wayne has been cut.
Shane Mahoney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wayne stuffs the takedown attempt from Mahoney. Mahoney gets slowly back to his feet.

Mahoney changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wayne looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wayne is trying to buck Mahoney off.
Wayne manages to get back to half guard.
Mahoney seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Wayne wants to get back to full guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mahoney connects with a nice short shot to Wayne's temple.

Wayne pushes Mahoney off and gets back to his feet.
A combination from Wayne does no damage.
Wayne slips a jab and a cross from Mahoney.

Wayne forces Mahoney back against the cage and clinches.
Wayne is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mahoney breaks from the clinch.
Mahoney keeps the fight on the outside.
Mahoney throws a combination that misses

and Wayne counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wayne.
Mahoney wants to break free but Wayne has control.

Mahoney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wayne shoots in for a takedown but Mahoney shows good takedown defense.
Wayne pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Wayne looks gassed!
Mahoney just misses with a punch to the body.
Wayne throws the kick towards the body but Mahoney avoids it.
Mahoney throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wayne gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Mahoney counter with a right hand.
Mahoney will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wayne dodges the punch combination from Mahoney.

Mahoney moves into the clinch successfully.

Mahoney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mahoney throws a series of punches but Wayne moves out of range.
Mahoney swinging wilding here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mahoney is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wayne.
Mahoney darts in trying to clinch
and Wayne counters with a good, hard body kick but Mahoney shrugs it off.
Wayne shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mahoney counters with a left and a right that stings Wayne.

Wayne is rocked!
Shane Mahoney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Wayne.
Mahoney connects with a stiff jab that staggers Wayne - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
